Steve
was born in Far Rockaway beach NY. He comes
from a family with a strong music background. His mom Evelyn became a
professional singer when she was 16, back in the early 40's. Uncle John
Fabs was a famous trumpet player from the late 20's to the late 50's,
playing with such grates as Tommy Dorsey.
In
1974 at the age of 16 Steve joined the rock band Fantasia. The youngest
member of the band by 3 years he stepped into the world of Rock & Roll.
Guitar and vocals, Stones to Chuck Berry, music was it. In his senior
year in Lawrence HS he was introduced to the Theater. Acting and singing
in musical comedy found a place along side of rock & roll. In college
at SUNY Oneonta he studied a little, played in some rock bands, preformed
in some shows and found some time to Box a little at the Oneonta boys
club. He took a shot at fighting for a short time after collage but soon
gave it up to chase his music and theater dreams.
In
1993 while living in Columbus Ohio Steve met lisa, his fianceé.
Together they came back to NYC. Steve hit the pavement running. Acting
classes, voice lessons and auditioning for everything and anything. In
1999 it paid off. He landed the lead roll of King Marchan in the National
tour of Victor/Victoria and things just started to roll.
